The Secrets of the
Kingdom of Heaven
The parable of the sower stands as one of the most foundational teachings of Jesus Christ concerning the Kingdom of God. It is recorded in Matthew 13:1–23 and Luke 8:4–15. This parable is more than a simple farming illustration. It unveils eternal truths about the reception of the Word of God in the hearts of people. Jesus identifies the seed as “the Word of the Kingdom” (Matthew 13:19) and “the Word of God” (Luke 8:11). The soil represents the heart of the hearer, and the sower is God Himself, who entrusts His servants to carry His message into the world.
